Child with Special Care Needs

Difficulties in providing daily oral hygiene and consumption of soft foods with high sugar content are important caries risk factors in children with special care needs. In some cases requiring simple dental treatment, short-term procedures can be performed consciously in the clinic. Root canal treatment and stainless steel coating were performed on the first molar tooth of a 10-year-old patient, who had spontaneous pain in his molar tooth and needed special care, under general anesthesia.
